Shadow, the Wolf and Wheeze continued to stand there, hurling insults at each other. Shadow was having immense fun until the old man soon tottered out of the Sanctuary, muttering under his breath leaving a trail of smoke behind him. She was left alone with the masked man. Before she moved off he spoke quietly to her.

"It's been a while, Shadow." She closed her eyes for a second and silently mouthed the name Menro. Turning slowly to face him she smiled warmly. She reached out and touched him on the arm.

"Too long Wolf" she called him by his alias, respecting his privacy "Would you remove your mask so that I may greet an old friend?" she said, moving closer.

After having a bit of fun with the human Draugr, Shadow slowly turned around to face him, her hair slowly flowing to the side as she flashed a warm smile,"Too long Wolf." Her soft hand touching his arm. Both replied with their alias, understanding the need for secrecy and privacy among their dark family. "Would you remove your mask so that I may greet an old friend?" She said in a quiet voice as she approached him.

Without speaking a word, he reached around his head, unclasping the back of the mask, letting It hang on his collar, "It has been far too long, old friend" His deep voice keeping the conversation between them, moving closer as to not let the others notice the exchange.

"It has been far too long, old friend"Shadow gazed into the face of the man who she thought was long dead.

"There you are" she whispered, taking in his light grey eyes and proud nose. She frowned slightly, delicately tracing the scar that ran from under his left eye down to the corner of his mouth. "This is new". They were standing so close now and Shadow suddenly felt very self conscious. Wolf always made her feel like that, even if he didn't know it. He was the only man she had met that made her hold back her normally seductive nature. For some reason she treated him differently. She had no idea why, still to this day, but seeing him now made her heart skip a beat. He knew things about her that no-one else alive did. She dropped her hand and glanced around at the others still gathered there, ready to frown at anyone who was witnessing their close exchange.

"Wolf" she sighed, turning back to him, happy that she at least knew someone in this family, someone she trusted, someone whom she maybe even loved "Where in Oblivion have you been?"

"There you are," She whispered to him close, her light blue eyes locking with the Wolf's grey ones. Her face was soft, but could show signs of evil and violence if it needed to. She stuck out a finger and softly traced the scar on the left side of his face with a slight frown, "This is new." The feel of her hand on his face brought back distant memories; some happy, some painful. He's never had such a strong connection to anybody as much as Shadow. More so for a woman. Most people make him snarl under his mask and avoids them at all costs. His brothers and sisters often say that he has no remorse or compassion. Maybe that was true, maybe it wasn't. Whenever she's around, he becomes loving and more compassionate. He's not his typical self when she is near. During her initiation, he didn't take part, and whenever he went to hunt with one of his "friends". The only thing that returned was him.

Shadow knew things not even the closet dark brother to him knew. Only she knew his name, earned his trust, respect, and the right to use his name. "Wolf" She turned from checking for prying eyes, "Where in Oblivion have you been?" He subtly stroked her cheek before answering, "A lot has happened. No need to say it here. Later tonight, perhaps. For the moment, we need contracts." Shadow was someone he trusted, and maybe even loved. Maybe he would kill for her without the black sacrament being performed. He walked over to the box and drew a new contract, interested in who was going to be stepping in a open grave.

The note ran through his rough hands, then was opened casually, making him give a wolfish smile, "Morthal; Hunter poaching out of season. The hunter becomes the hunted." He took a spot next to Shadow; who he was happy that he has by his side.

Sheydna kept a stern eye on the others as they picked their contracts and went, she decided it was time to release her next member from prison. She quickly ran to her room collecting her knives and then quickly leaving the sanctuary just passing Merweiss, Wolf and the woman Shadow have a delightful little insult throwing. She was soon out of the sanctuary the fresh air filling her lungs.

Sheydna then walked up to the main part of Dawnstar and managed to get a carriage driver to get her to Windhelm as fast as his steads could go. Within a few hours she was nearing the city of Windhelm, it's might walls towering above her. She paid the driver and then went on her way into the city. She was well known there and had many contacts within the great city. She also knew many of the Stormcloak high rankers. She even knew Ulfric before he died from old age.

Sheydna strolled through the nearly abandoned city, only passing a few nord peasents and dark elves as she neared the prisons. The city smelled of piss, waste and decay. The prison probably smelt even worse. Soon she was at her new brothers cell, on,y passing two guards on her way who were easily convinced that she was close family and no danger what so ever.

She looked through the bars of the prison and smiled at Kalzor. She then took a small vial out which contained a invisibility potion, which she quickly absorbed making her invisible to most.

The touch of his hand on her face sent a thrill through her that she thought she would never feel again.

"A lot has happened. No need to say it here. Later tonight, perhaps. For the moment, we need contracts." He said softly to her before moving over to the table and selecting a contract. Shadow looked down at hers again. It seemed that an Argonian at the East Empire Company in Solitude had rubbed someone up the wrong way. Pity for him she thought. It took her very close to the abandoned shack where she had stored the rest of her belongings. She could go through the marshes to the docks, do the job then swing by the shack and pick up her stuff. A larger bag or sack will be needed to carry it all. She dreaded the journey home. She looked around the hall, most of the others were making their way out and she noticed that Sheydna was gone as well. Wolf came towards her again, studying his own piece of paper.

"Morthal; Hunter poaching out of season. The hunter becomes the hunted." His grin was one she recognized. It meant someone was in for a whole world of hurt. Could she tell him about the abandoned shack? Maybe they could meet there?

"I am heading that way myself. If you don't mind some company?" She would have to fetch her cloak from her room but was keen to start for the docks as soon as possible. She wanted to talk to Wolf. To know what happened to him when she returned that night to find the camp laid to waist. Shadow had not really cared about them all being dead or missing, except for one person. Menro. She had desperately searched the dead bodies only to discover that his was not amongst them. He had either been taken away to be executed later, or had managed to escape. Shadow had no choice but to leave herself, for fear of being caught, and after years of no trace of him, she reluctantly gave in to the thought that he was either dead, or just didn't want to be found.

"I am heading that way myself. If you don't mind some company?" It was quite a since they had joined together in a blood filled getaway, if that's what you could call it. Menro was a solitary man in life and most instances in the deathly hunt. Only he could rely on himself in a chase or a kill; if he made a mistake, it was his fault, not anybody else's. Even amongst his bandit camp he was a loner, not that he minded. While his fellow brigands focused on gold, mischief, raping, and pillaging, he was focused on freedom that the life brought. The ability to truly be free and not chained to a king or Jarl in high castle or long house. The only ruler of you, was you, and no one else.

Raids he joined in on, only supplies he needed and the occasional pouch or three, but no women or children. If the men fought, he gave them a choice; fight and die seeing your child and woman crying as your blood stained their clothes or the ground , hide under bodies that were closest and wait until the bandits left. For some reason or another some fought back, and were struck down soon after. Menro loved the killing; digging his sword into a man's chest like a axe through the carcass of a pig, the blood and the way it stained his blade, and the option to cleave a man in half or take off the top of his head like an apple. It was the occasional thought of the life he had ruined, that he didn't like. When he joined the Dark Brotherhood the thought had become less frequent as he thought of it as a service to the dark father. That doesn't mean to say that he does sometimes struggle with the morality of the happily blood soaked, solitary, and sometimes sad ridden life that he led.

There was only one person he truly enjoyed in that camp of human filth; Adelyne. During her initiation, he skipped the defiling act and instead killed one of the animals who participated while they were hunting. First was an arrow in the calf to pin the bastard down. Then came a two handed downward strike on the man's back, making his scream echo off the trees, scaring off the wild life. Then to finish him off, he drew out his claw and slashed him up slowly, making it look like a common wolf had at him. He wanted her to join him for as long as she could. He needed to tell her want happened on that night, how he managed to escape, and how he wanted to find her, but didn't know where to start.

"It's been some time. You can join me, Shadow. The wolf and Shadow stalk again." He gave a devious smile as he thought of the trip and catching up.

"It's been some time. You can join me, Shadow. The wolf and Shadow stalk again." He said as he smiled deviously. Shadow nodded and headed off to her room to pick up her cloak. As she checked over her crossbow, making sure it was ready for the job ahead, she reflected on the last few hours. Yesterday she was a freelance Assassin, a killer with no family, no home, no-one to care for. Now she was standing in her own cozy little room, a member of the Dark Brotherhood, and she had found the only person she had ever really cared about. It all seemed so perfect right now.

Shadow shook herself to shake off the bad feelings she had. usually when things started going right for her, something happened to mess it up, but maybe this time was different. She had to believe that her life had now taken a turn for the good. A home. A family. And Menro... She smiled, shaking her head. What were the odds? She quickly stowed her crossbow and bolts on her back, checked her little pouch she always wore was stocked full of poisons, and then donned her traveler's cloak. I must see if I can get supplies for that garden she thought to herself as she closed the door to her room and made her way back to the main hall were Wolf was waiting for her. She flashed a smile at him, her blue eyes sparkling.

    "Shall we?" she asked him.

Pyro, Spirits Connoisseur, and Soulless Anarchist
Thaek approached the gates of Markarth, a bit tired after keeping up the invisibility spell for the entire walk here, he hadn't wanted any interaction at all, though as he passed those Vigilants of Stendar he had been tempted to start a fight............

Thaek shook his head and re-focused on the task at hand. He slipped through the great gates beside a meat cart rolling to the market. No one heard his muffled feet, not that they would have if he hadn't cast the spell. No one saw him walk past the inn and towards the keep. similarly no one saw, or heard him pause at the conversation between the bard and the Vigilant outside the abandoned house. So tempting........

But no, he had a job to do. He continued up to the keep, and it's great doors and waited............and continued to wait. One drawback of invisibility was lack of interaction. It was worth being a ghost though, to have to wait for others, and usually he found it entertaining to watch the masses whilst he waited. On this occasion however, between the job, and waiting hours for one of the Silver-Bloods to finally head up to the keep to hassle the Jarl. Slipping in just behind their entourage Thaek heads up the steps and further into the keep, towards the sound of metal ringing against hammer blows. The sound of a smith at work........

Looking straight ahead of him was an orc, slightly bigger than him from the forge work and decidedly more orc-like. Where Thaek wore robes, this Orc wore armor, even in the sweltering heat of the forge. Moth gro-Bagol took that moment to cool the blade he was working on and lean against the wall, wiping the sweat from his brow and flexing his well used muscles. Thaek simply pulled out his mace and let the invisibility spell drop. Standing directly in front of him, and now completely visible, Thaek saw the surprise and recognition in Moth's eyes.

"Thaek!?" He nearly yelled as Thaek wound the mace up in a reverse motion, bringing it back in a windmill motion and then down. Any self respecting Orc should have been able to dodge, or block such a blow, but his surprise had gotten the better of him, putting him off guard and dumbstruck. The mace came down on his head and crushed it inwardly, making a noise unlike any other on Nirn. Thaek did not smile. He did not show any emotion, he simply turned and left...............

    Daryl Dixon

    Absentee
Delsin just smiled at what Shadow had to say, unsure if she meant actual hugging. Which is what he legitimately meant, but at her insinuation Abbie might not approve he was unsure. Although this may have just been a tease at Delsin and Abbie being close. Delsin was not good at these things.
Delsin watched happily as the family fought, and then discovered Shadow and the masked man were old friends. Delsin went and chose a contract, and read it to discover his target was out near Riften. He would have gladly swapped with the man, had he not left so soon.

The masked man had removed his mask and was talking with Shadow, "So she did just mean hugging... Good." He thought, as she appeared to have strong feelings for this man. He approached them. "Well, nearly everyone has left." He said, regretting it instantly. This man seemed the kind of guy who wouldn't like Delsin's kind. He looked to the man confidently, and reached his hand out for a handshake. "Delsin." He said, waiting to hear the mans name.

Then turned to Shadow, "Not sure if I should shake your hand." He said plainly, as she had been reluctant to hug him before. "My contract is out near Riften, guess I won't be able to join you." He said to both of them. "I look forward to getting to know you both." He said with a warm smile, meaning every word. "Me too." Abbie said, approaching from behind him. "I really do, it's nice to have a new family after the old was.. Killed..." She said, the mood shifting drastically. "No but all in all, I'm glad we have such.. Unique members in our brotherhood." Delsin was silent, smiled, then walked out. Abbie caught up with him, asked to join him, and they proceeded to leave.

They traveled for a few hours, just talking, laughing and joking around until Abbie finally asked who the target was. "Some bitch of the black-briars, should be easy enough." Delsin said, continuing on his trek to Riften. "Won't that make some enemies?" Abbie inquired, "Working for the Black-Briars." Abbie thought a moment, "But you're guaranteed good money and protection."
Delsin let out a slight chuckle, "Not from the brotherhood."

Just under a day passes, and they finally make it to Riften. Delsin walked through the gates, and scoped the place out. Wasn't much of a city, thieves guild was likely present, it smelt awful. Delsin spent half an hour looking around the city, mapping his escape routes in case things went sour. It was night, so Delsin decided now would be the best time to find his target. Abbie soaked up information in the bee and barb, while Delsin was on the hunt.

His target was Jason Borus, an imperial working for the Black-Briars. Delsin snooped around the manor in which the Black-Briars lived, all was quiet. He was considering breaking in as he was walking away from the building, until he overheard a conversation.
"You alright, Jason? That last job.. Burning that farm down."
"Yeah mate, I'm good, gonna go grab a drink then head to Whiterun."
"On business for the Black-Briars then?"
    "Aye, see ya later."
    "Bye."

Delsin tailed the man into the Inn, but waited at the door and signaled Abbie, who had seated herself conveniently facing the door. She came over to him, and he defined the target to her. "The Nord wearing the leather armour, shoulder length brown hair." His features were that of a warrior, aged face and a ragged scar going across his right cheek down to the bottom of his chin. Wonder if he got that working for the Black-Briars Delsin thought. The man spent only half an hour at the bar before hopping on board a carriage.

Delsin and Abbie boarded the same carriage, paying their fees, and kept to themselves acting as two strangers. It wouldn't be suspicious if anyone found out they knew each other, but it wasn't something anyone would assume. After exiting the carriage, Abbie made her way to the stables while Delsin tailed the target. He was making his way to the companions mead hall, to which Delsin wasn't quite fond of. He disliked the smell, the people, and how the roof looked like an upside down boat. Jason went inside the building and after forty minutes of the man not coming out, afraid he will miss him, Delsin went inside.

The blaring fire in the middle of the hall immediately caused Delsin to shield his eyes for a moment, before he was used to the heat and intensity. The room was crowded and loud, everyone was drinking and cheering about something. He scanned the room before deciding to head right and go down to the living quarters. He was unafraid of being caught, he knew he wouldn't be in trouble and knew two or three of the members here. The building layout wasn't too familiar to him as it had been in a time of distraught in pain, not long after his family had been murdered.

The door straight in front of him was closed, so he turned right and began walking that way. It was eerily quiet, it was like near everyone was above. He kept heading that way until he heard a familiar voice, one that belonged to Jason, Delsin peeked his head around the corner to notice two doors and a table with food and chairs. Jason was on a chair, and was talking to another Nord.

Delsin couldn't make out what they were saying, as right after a man approached Delsin from behind. "What are you doing, Nord?" A bulky man in steel armour asked. "Ah, I'm checking out your hall." Delsin lied. "You want to join?" The man asked. "No, I am ill prepared. I may consider it in the future though." Delsin said, trying to sound like someone this man would be bored with, it succeeded. "Right. I'm going now." The man said, grunting and walking left to where Jason and his companion was. Immediately their conversations stopped, and Jason got up. The moment Jason rounded the corner and saw Delsin he drew his sword.

"Why are you following me!?" He shouted, drawing attention. Delsin drew his own sword, "You killed my wife and daughter, and I'm here to make you pay!" Delsin shouted, "Lets do this. Honorably. Something you couldn't give my family when you burned our house down!" A glint of recognition appeared in Jason's eyes, and it almost looked as if he felt bad. "I- I didn't know anyone was home. I knocked on the door, I only heard the cattle." He said, stammering. "You- I will kill you." Delsin having real anger and emotion in his eyes, so angry you could see his eyes swell up. So angry soon he'd have angry tears, but he kept them in. He was conveying the emotions from his family's death into this situation. He was acting. "Okay, we do this honorably. With an audience." Delsin nodded. They made their way upstairs, with the Nord from earlier following them. The Nord explained that they would fight to the death, and they proceeded into the courtyard.

This went against everything Delsin was suppose to stand for. Honor, really? He was suppose to do this stealthily, or when his target was defenseless. As the opponent drew his sword, Delsin could see dried blood, and timed seemed to go in slow motion and Delsin drew his own. Delsins skill as a warrior had rarely been tested. His mind flashed back to the little girl who killed herself after his last contract, and he filled with rage at the guilt he felt.

The two clashed blades, the pushed against each other, a test of strength. Delsin knew he wouldn't win this. He ducked and maneuvered himself out of the way, swinging at the mans hip as he did so. It cut him deep, but not deep enough. He turned around quickly and made a swing down on Delsin. It was blocked, and as the man staggered back Delsin gave him a boot the chest. The powerful kick sent him a few steps back, and Delsin brought his sword up and swung it around, decapitating the mans head clean off.
    -

Abbie sat at the stables for what seemed like two hours, having purchased a horse. She was a rich girl, very rich, she was smart enough to not have her funds at the sanctuary or even her last sanctuary. She had sent a letter to the imperial city for someone to bring her money to her, and her money wasn't even in the city. She was very protective of the money she spent carelessly. She finally saw Delsin, a little blood on his armour walking over toward her. They greeted in kiss, but it wasn't long before they were professional again. They had a strange relationship, it was never romantic, just physical. But she knew she had feelings for him, but did he? He had to.

    "How was it?" Abbie asked.

"Everyone knows I did it, and it was honorable." Almost a hint of pride in his voice.

"That's...Different. I bought us a horse, you can ride."

Delsin mounted the black steed, and Abbie went on the back. They rode out, heading toward their new home.

Before Shadow and Wolf turned away, Delsin, who had been selecting a contract walked back over to the pair.

"Well, nearly everyone has left." he said and then stuck out a hand to Wolf "Delsin" he introduced himself. He then turned to Shadow and looked reluctant to get near her. "Not sure if I should shake your hand." He half joked. "My contract is out near Riften, guess I won't be able to join you." He said to both of them. "I look forward to getting to know you both." He said with a smile.

"Me too." The woman Shadow assumed to be Abbie said as she appeared from behind Delsin "I really do, it's nice to have a new family after the old was.. Killed..." Shadow raised an eyebrow, interested in hearing how this woman had managed to get her entire family slaughtered. "No but all in all, I'm glad we have such.. Unique members in our brotherhood." Delsin seemed uncomfortable and smiled slightly before walking away. Odd, Shadow thought as she watched them leave. There was something about that Abbie woman that didn't sit well with her. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but she didn't like it. She shook her head and turned once again to Menro.

"Well" she smiled at him "After that odd display...shall we?" she said, and made her way to the black door.

Well, nearly everyone has left." he extended his arm towards Wolf, "Delsin" The young man said with a warm smile, but Wolf was still in himself, like with most people.
"Wolf." His voice was short and low, and without a handshake. After the very short introduction of each other, Delsin turned Shadow to shake her hand, "Not sure if I should shake your hand." The comment was a half joke, understandably among their new family. "My contract is out near Riften, guess I won't be able to join you.I look forward to getting to know you both."

It was just noise now, he was looking at Delsin's girl, who made his instinct go uneasy. Anything the girl said or has to say has and will be noise to him. Finally the two finally left for their contract, leaving him and Adelyne.

"Well," she smiled warmly at him, "After that odd display...shall we?"
"I thought they wouldn't silence. Let's be off." He let out a laugh as they walked towards the dreadful black door.

    Mistress of Shadows
Shadow and Wolf did not talk much during their journey through the Pale. But then they never used to need much conversation between the two for them to be comfortable. They occasionally chatted about inconsequential things before Shadow noticed her landmark on the side of the road. She stopped and turned to Wolf, placing a hand on his arm.

“This is where I leave you, but if you would like to meet somewhere where we don’t have other ears listening in, I have a small shack due west of this very point. We now both have a job to do but I would really like to catch up once we are both done” Wolf nodded silently at her. It was all she needed. She watched him as he continued on, melting into the mists from the marsh. Shadow turned and walked through the marsh towards the abandoned shack. When she arrived she discovered her things still intact and undisturbed. The shack was cold and dark and she lit a single fat candle that would stay alight for some hours. To light your way Menro... she smiled.

She changed out of her good leather clothes into a simple tunic top and pants with fur boots and then strapped on her twin ebony daggers, The Girls, and secured her crossbow to her back. She then left the shack and made her way through the swamp towards the docks of the East Empire Company. Shadow picked her way carefully through the swamp, avoiding the creatures that resided in these parts. The mudcrabs, frostbite spiders and occasional chaurus made the swamps an undesirable place for any normal person to visit. The only things out here were the animals and vampires and people like Shadow.

She quickened her pace as she caught sight of the docks and set herself up on a bit of the bank of the river that jutted out towards the docks. Shadow took out her crossbow and one steel bolt and dipped it into her poison pouch, coating it with a deadly concoction she had made herself. She loaded the crossbow and then lay down on the ground on her stomach and aimed the crossbow at the docks and waited.

She slowed her breathing down as she laid there, a skill she had perfected over the years. She was looking for one man in particular. An argonian described to her in the contract as having bright blue head scales. Shadow’s keen eyes watched as people went about their daily business, cleaning up for the day, hauling nets over rails, ready for a day’s hard work tomorrow. She waited while two men stumbled down the gang plank of a large ship and headed towards Solitude, presumably for the nearest tavern. She didn’t flinch when a dart fly hovered in front of her, not taking her eyes off that dock for an instant.

Then her quarry appeared and Shadow cocked her crossbow. She aimed at the Argonian as he walked over to the edge of the docks and sat, dangling his feet in the water. Shadow waited, drawing in her breath and watching the Argonian as he sat there. She closed her eyes for a second and then opened them and released the trigger. The bolt flew silently through the air, across the river and slammed straight into the argonians chest. Shadow was too far away to hear his shout, but she watched as he scrambled across the boardwalk on all fours then collapsed to the deck, convulsing and shaking, her poison doing its work. The Argonian then fell into the river and was swept away, never to be seen again.

The assassin smiled and slowly got to her feet, stowing her crossbow. She turned and made her way back to the shack, the dim light from the candle she had lit guiding her way towards it, towards Menro. He was still not there when she returned so she took the opportunity to stoke up the fireplace and soon the shack was bathed in warm golden light. Shadow changed out of the dirty clothes and put on one of her nice dresses and then she sat at the table and waited for the Wolf to return.

Kalzor didn't know how long he had been in here for, he just knew he stunk, needed to shave, and missed the company of women. Oh, and that the Dark Brotherhood had not yet arrived, and he had a death sentence. At this point, he didn't expect them too. The door swung open and his brother came with many guards. Finally, they were treating him like the threat he was. He was marched to the block, still without clothes. The city gathered round as everything was put into place. Kalder opened up a very large scroll and read off the many laws that had been broken by Kalzor.
'This'll take awhile.' Kalzor thought, about five or six minutes later, Kalder finally finished. Kalzor was freezing. He was pushed down on the block and saw a small child, he smiled at the child. If he'd die, at least he'd have a grin on his face. He held his look waiting for the feel of cold metal cutting into his neck, but it never came.

Why change the past when you can own this day?
“This is where I leave you, but if you would like to meet somewhere where we don’t have other ears listening in, I have a small shack due west of this very point. We now both have a job to do but I would really like to catch up once we are both done” She turned to face him, placing her hand on his arm, making him nod silently and look towards where he needed to head. With Shadow living to her name, he went onward to his target, not stopping as to keep his pace. The marshes were filled with creatures, most which he avoided out of peace with them, like how he was raised; only hunt if you need food or protection. If you honor their death, they will not die in vain. His target however, feels the need to hunt for sport, and not out of necessity. The irony that the hunter becoming the hunted was not lost on him. The hunter was residing in Morthal, so he decided to wait him out, carving a stick or two while he waited patiently.

After some time, he spotted the hunter making his way to what Wolf assumed was the forest where he liked to hunt the most. Why this man had a contract on him was beyond his mind, not that he needed a reason to kill this man. Instead of killing him in a fight, I'll hunt him, like an animal. The wolf stuck to the brush, stalking his prey until he found the right time.

One would think it would be a while before the hunter rested on a log to check hi supplies, but this one was different. The wolf decided to lure him out by crunching a branch, making the hunter jolt up.

"What was that? Am I alone here?" He had his arrow nocked sooner than he wanted, not knowing that wolf wrapped behind him. The man must have had a close encounter the day before, because he was on edge. Something as simple as throwing a rock against a tree could make this hunter release an arrow. A soft thud sounded behind him, followed by an arrow in the tree.

"The prey is skittish, scared of what might happen." Before the human prey could move, Wolf sliced the tendons of the man's leg, and driving the stick in the other."A man Is his weapon, let's see what kind of a man you are." He kicked his bag over, spotting poison in a bottle, along with special arrowheads. The sight made the him bare his teeth under his steel jaw, turning to the hunter with a look of hatred.

"Coward. Why not grant it a quick death, and honor it's life? Why drag out the suffering? No matter, you deserve what you sow." He sheathed his sword and dragged his claw out, and snatched the poison, throwing the black bottle in the air before catching it in his rough hand. The sounds of pained cries and screams scared off the birds, but couldn't be heard, making it easier to perform the dark art.

"By the gods, just kill me quickly! I don't have anything or anyone to give!" The only reason he was standing was because of the wooden stick in his leg.

"No, I will not. A man deserves what he deals. I have accepted my fate with open arms. Men are animals enclosed in a city cage." Without wait, he dipped his claw in the bottle, and went to work, leaving his marks that made it look like a hunter met his call. The poison dragged the pain out, then there was nothing. Menro made his way to the shack Shadow had mentioned, following the light from the shack, assumingly so he could track the light as a marker. The slight of the actual place made a feeling of relief wash over him like water. The door swung open to a lit and warm shack, "Adelyne" The only word out of his mouth was her name, and it echoed through out the shack.

    Mistress of Shadows
Shadow waited patiently, enjoying the serenity in the shack. She placed her bare feet on the edge of the table and rocked her chair back slightly. The dress she wore was from one of her victims, naturally. The only give away as to its sinister history were two slits in the back of it where Shadow's daggers had entered. She took out one of her daggers and lovingly sharpened it on a stone, the metallic sound of metal on stone loud in the silent shack. She also hummed a little. She was content, which was surprising to her. She had a home, her own room, had just completed another contract which she would be paid handsomely for, and now she had found the man she would have given her life for.

Hopefully this peace lasts she thought to herself as she slid the blade across the stone. She was getting a little hungry so sheathed her dagger and rummaged around inside her satchel, finding a couple of apples and a small cheese wedge, along with a bottle of strong mead. She decided to hold off eating until Wolf returned. Just as she put the bottle on the table she heard footsteps crunching outside. She placed her hand on her dagger but when the door opened Wolf was standing there.

"Adelyne" He said softy, closing the door behind him. She stood there for a moment taking in his presence while her lip quivered slightly. She wanted him badly and now that they were away from prying eyes she could finally show her true self, the one that only Menro had witnessed. She hurried over to him and he enfolded her into his arms and they kissed with a desperation of two that had been parted for far too long. They moved backwards as they devoured each other, Adelyne running her hands through Menro's hair as he backed her into the table sending the food toppling everywhere. She worked furiously at the buckles on his armour as he practically tore off her dress. Items of clothing fell to the floor until there was nothing left but them in their purest of forms.

"Menro" she whispered as he swept her off her feet and carried her to the bed.

    Wolfbane

Why change the past when you can own this day?
In front of him was who he thought was the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. He would slay 30 men and pay for his life for her. The dark wooden closed, muting any other outside sound, making Shadowlook up to take him in, her lip quivering. The metal sound stopped on the rock before she swiftly made her way over to him, wrapping their arms around each other as they shared a desperate kiss that made the longing all seem worth it.As they passionately kissed, Menro moved them backwards, while Adelyne ran her fingers through his hair. Buckles rapidly and furiously dropped to the floor as fabric was forcefully ripped off of body; now She could finally see the man under the mask, under the lust for blood and steel. The animal was now a man, and was a man whenever she was near By now they were down to skin, and getting deeper in love stricken euphoria.

"Menro" a quite whisper found it's way into his ear as he swept her off her feet, and onto the bed, making her blonde hair outline her face, with some in her eyes. They were now face to face, body to body. Once again they kissed, her biting his lower lip as she softly dug her nails in his scarred back.

"Adelyne." That's all he could say; her name. He couldn't describe how much he silently longed for her, her touch, her smile, her eyes. Most assassins would say love between the two was stupid and careless and how love was only a tool in their profession. To oblivion with them, he says. Solitude was how he was raised, and not to let most in. Happiness was an elusive feeling for him, like a deer from a wolf, and he found someone that made him happy. At this moment, he was the happiest he had ever been. His father dumped him in the green forests, a bastard left to die. From then on no one understood, or cared to understand, even some of his dark brothers and sisters. But not Shadow, not Adelyne. She saw the man he was deep inside, and him the same with her.

Menro softly stroked her cheek as she rubbed her leg up and down his side, brushing her yellow locks out of her face. The sensation of their skin touching made them both warmly smile, her blue eyes piercing through his grey ones. His lips met her neck, and a playful laugh came out of her mouth. The wolf had finally found it's mate.

Thaek left the keep before anyone realized the smith was dead. He didn't bother with an invisibility spell, didn't bother to hide the body before he left. Quite the opposite, he had lain the corpse over the forge, the smell would alert the guards soon enough. He simply walked out the front doors and down the street towards the main gate. Then, he remembered why he used invisibility so often.

"Hail, Orc!" The Vigilant called out to him. Thaek turned and tensed praying to....something, for a fight. The vigilant however seemed to be the cheery sort. "Ah, I was hoping you'd stop. I am a vigilant of Stendar and for the last hundred years or so it has been tradition for young vigilants to enter this house and search for the shrine of Molag Bal that was stained by a brave vigilants blood long ago, when the Dragonborn still roamed the land. It is also tradition, that we bring a stranger with us. Will you accompany me for a brief time?"

Thaek hated the vigilants, and despised this folly of tradition, but something seemed to be speaking to him, telling him to go. He nodded his head and followed the enthusiastic Vigilant into the old house. The door shut, and locked and after mere minutes a secret way opened at his touch. The Vigilant was ecstatic rushing forward to find the cursed shrine. Thaek followed more slowly and was awed by what he saw. There was indeed a shrine, and a mace. A mace of the finest craftsmanship, the embodiment of suffering. The Vigilant blathered on about the cage trap in the floor that they should be careful to avoid and so Thaek did what came naturally to him. He pushed the young man into it.

The cries of the fool were lost as a voice of power filled the place. "I am Molag Bal, and for the first time in centuries, a TRUE champion appears! You who brings swift death of the body, and torturous entrapment to the soul, kill this man, feed his soul to the shrine, and the weapon you beheld with such..... appreciation, shall be yours!" Thaek didn't have to think about it, after all, he killed men for a living. He crushed the vigilant down, breaking bones and silencing screams. When the soul left this plane Thaek took his prize and left, the voice's laughter ringing in his ears.

The Bard that had been arguing with the Vigilant before was outside, waiting to greet Thaek, called him champion. Thaek just kept walking, he hadn't said a word since he arrived, and saw no need to. As he reached the city gates, he heard the first cries of alarm from the keep, and smiled a silent smile as he descended the steps and started back towards Dawnstar. Back towards his new home.

Merweiss had never been fond of snow, and he was in Dawnstar, about to go to Windhelm. Most ships didn't go from a hold to another on such short trips, but a small rowboat would. After a brief debate with himself about mays or may nots lighting his pipe, the old man chose not to do so, feeling the snow would just pile itself over the flame and stop him from smoking. His light footsteps towards the boat could hardly be noticed on the snow, a result of former years of experience as an assassin. Once he got close to the man, Merweiss pushed his right hand inside his pocket, ready to fish out of it something that would allow him to trade for passage. "How much to rent your boat to Windhelm?" The man raised a brow, unsure of how much the old man would be able to pay. Humanity never changed. The common man would always be the ruffian who would never be able to call his wealth enough, and would always put his beliefs for sale if the outcome of such situation would favor him. "Hmm... 150 gold, for me to row it..." Merweiss, as a man who never had trouble to speak out his thoughts, burst in anger. "150?! I could bribe a Daedra into teleporting me there with that!" Indifferently, the man shrugged his shoulders. "No bandits in the water..."

After a resigned sigh and a long, forced handing of a fat purse to the man's wrinkled cold hands, Merweiss was sent to Windhelm on a long, swingy trip, forced to listen to the man's creepy whistling, tangled by long tendrils of fog, followed by the slaughterfish's wretched fins, coming close to the top very often, hoping their vessel would be split in half for their meals to fall. Merweiss wanted to take some of his money back, but the man never stopped facing him while he rowed, which meant the old man's pocket was forced to remain unpleasantly light until the end of the trip. At last, when they arrived and the boat's owner stood up to climb back on the docks, Merweiss had the chance to snatch a purse with a few septims more than 30 from his belt. "Thank you..." He nodded, insulting him in his mind, before heading towards the inn to speak with the contact personally.

The fire made their bodies glow as the lay on the bed, getting to know each other all over again. Adelyne felt the scars down Menro's back and dug her nails in, knowing just what he loved, wanting to replace the bad memories of pain those scars held, with pleasurable ones that involved her in them. He left a trail of kisses down her neck and she laughed as they tickled her skin. She used her legs to draw him even closer to her and she could feel his heart pounding through his chest, as he pressed against her.

"Adelyne" he whispered her name again more urgently, sending a thrill through her. She sought his lips and kissed him deeply and as she reached down she could feel his excitement growing. She wriggled under him impatiently as he moved over her. She wanted him desperately, like she had no other man, ever, in her lifetime. She wanted him inside her, to sate her longing. She never begged but she would do it now.

    "Menro" she breathed "Please, now"
