Saw that you were having virus problems. It sounds like something nasty is messing with your alert system. What kind of software/antivirus program do you have? I myself have 'Microsoft Security Essentials' and 'Malware Bytes'. Those two are the ultimate duo. I haven't had problems for two years now almost. I get bugs every now and then (everyone does) but those two take quick care of it... No mercy..
