Speaking of Steam, I read the Empire:Total War reviews and I'm confused. The YouTube video "Why Empire Total War Failed" said in more words that the game was plops with unplayable A.I. All the reviews on Steam recommended it.

Most likely because of the Darth Mod. This guy makes Darth Mods for most of the series and makes some of the bad ones salvageable. But at launch and the first few months it BOMBED. Following updates helped but because of the Darth Mod it was workable thereafter.

Plus there are some people that decide a game as bad as that at launch will never improve. And some of those people make videos. It can skew your (my) perspective.
