Decided to take my own medicine, so to speak. I like this Google Chrome. Good stuff, alot more stable than that Firefox. Simplistic, efficient. Anyways...
Back to business.
Now, I have to say, that I can sympathize with Ulfric on many levels. He and his crew would rather trust their steel and their own wits over leaving their fate in someone else's hands. Ulfric has clearly suffered at something inside him is so wound up it can't be consoled. Only blood and vengeance will console him. Only getting everything on his bottom line will make him better.
I'm honestly starting to warm up to Ulfric. lolz I feel his pain, his agony, the shame he carries daily seeking vindication by any and every means necessary. I guess I understand *finally* where he's coming from. He wears his courage as his armor, however there is a downside here. He's reckless and his wounds are impeding his leadership ability as well as his personality. Something else I can relate to, unfort.
On a lighter note, you have Gen Tullius, a firm believer in the Empire's mission and a man whose planted on solid ground. An interesting man he is, as he seems to find surety in the middle such great uncertainty. This is a very rare ability, something even I haven't discovered yet. Gen Tullius is like one of those guys off survivor, leading his team from island to island, like a Starcraft 2 vet in 4 v 4, where 3 of his team members have fallen and who says to them still we'll make it. Damn the odds, Gen Tullius is like we'll make it.
Again, it's so sad that neither can walk away from this. However, I'm going with Mr T. Mr Mac Truck himself. Gen Tullius really is a good leader... something about him. Aw hell, Ulfric had his change to run away, he could live behind the walls of Windhelm and recover there the rest of his days. Living in luxury and Solitude, as I wish I could. Never having to deal with people or bring himself down to the level of rude, obnoxious, unintelligent people with no passion.
I think Gen Tullius is everyone's best hope here. Esp with the Emperor gone, as I feel the Emperor is holding him back. Holding alot of them back. I would say let Gen Tullius live, let's see what he can do once he's free of the baggage.
