I have Skyrim SE 1.6.342 and I'm having a weird issue with Fortify Smithing potion fails.
Awhile back I made my first Fortify Smithing potion from Blisterwort and Spriggan sap. That recipe still works.
The Internetz say that any combo of these ingredients will do the job, but its not happening.
Blisterwort
Glowing Mushroom
Sabre Cat Tooth
Spriggan Sap
Now that I have found more ingredients, if I try any other combination of these (like Blister + Mushroom, or Sabrecat + Spriggan) I get a potion fail.
What gives? Is this normal?
(disclaimer: i have the unlimited rings and amulets SSE mod installed, I heard mods can break things)
I've tried stripping off all my enchanted gear, turning off mods, saving, restarting, old saves, but the only combo that works is Blisterwort and Spriggan sap, and the latter is hard to come by.
Any help on this lovely game that I cant believe I waited til 2022 to play? Thanks in advance
