Skyrim Achievements are out

But yeah, I was surprised when I first heard of this option. I wonder how “deeply” this is implemented. Will it be just some sort of gimmick or actually a game-changing decision?

There doesn't seem to be any steam achievements (yet). Achievements on xbox sound quite boring, I am afraid. I'd hoped something like "Jump from highest cliff to sea", "dive to a deepest trench", etc.

Do you think the steam achievements will be a lot different? I agree, these don't look overly engaging.

I definetely hope they'll be different, something similar to New Vegas:

The Courier Who Broke the Bank
Get banned from all the Strip's casinos

Just Cause 2 has also good ones:

Wrecking Ball
Kill 5 enemies by smashing them with an object tethered to your vehicle with the grappling hook.

Piñata Party
Kill 5 enemies with the melee attack while they're suspended with the grappling hook.

By the way, while I was creating this reply, I checked from Steam whether Skyrim has any Steam achiviements. It looks like it doesn't, because Serious Sam 3:BFE has them already. Even though it's going to be released much later on this month.

The achievements are always quite disappointing with Elder Scrolls, they have such a huge world to play with and they could create any weird fun task for you to do to gain some points but there all more or less storyline based.
