I wish we could do more for the beggars.

Nocte Aeterna

Sir Not-Appearing-in-This-Film
I personally want to help Silda. She has the misfortune of being stuck out in the cold all night. I don't even care if she's a drunk.

Cylos

The Last Dragonborn
I was always the socialist, but during 'The Forsworn Conspiracy' when I found out the Reachmen and sick had been consigned to the Warrens, there was a lot of boiling blood.
I would have liked a bigger hand to play in the politics in Skyrim as a whole, but I'd really like to see some way to give beggars proper living standards.

Isn't the other beggar in Windhelm marryable? Angrenor "sword though the chest" Once-Honored? If he is I wouldn't want to anyway, though, since he's a racist too.

The beggar I like the most and truly wish I could help is Narfi. He's been through so much already and I just want to get him some help. I wish I could marry him and take care of him. Or... maybe I could dress up as Reyda and maybe fool him. We could live out the rest of his life happily, and I could just keep it up until he dies, and still have plenty of time leftover to go on with my life since I'm an elf. <3

Aww, Narfi. I felt really bad having to kill him for the Dark Brotherhood...I mean, who hated him enough to do a contract on him, anyway? He stayed over at his little house and never bothered anyone. :/ But at the same time I felt like I was putting him out of his misery. He really missed Reyda and I think that was what drove him a bit insane, poor guy. He would've waited around for her until he died, and no one was going to do anything to help him.

There's no point in giving most of them money, they'll drink/skooma/gamble it all away. There's a reason why they are beggars in the first place, it's not like skyrim lacks jobs with the war and everything. Inns don't want beggars for a very good reason, they cause trouble and most of them are thiefs...

Still, I do give them a few septims when I see them. Although I prefer giving charity to the temple of mara.

not everyone who is homeless is that way because of a drug addiction, many people are homeless through no fault of their own and only turn to drugs later when they have nothing left.

I don't see Silda as anything but a sweetheart really. :/ She was one of the first people who came running when she heard that girl getting killed in Windhelm. Sure, she might be the pickpocket trainer, but that doesn't mean she'd go robbing everyone if she got a job at the inn or something. Now there are a few, like that one guy in Markarth, who probably wouldn't use the money for anything smart, and then there's Narfi, who's so far gone that he probably wouldn't, either.

I agree, some of the are just very unlucky. But others almost deserve it.

Shiney, let's be bad guys.
If you give the beggers enough gold to by a house and eat for a year. And they dont maybe the problem is the begger.
