Is Finland in the Arctic circle? I live in Vermont and that's bad enough, its 5 degrees farenheit above freezing right now, but isn't SCandanavia farther north?

Yeah, almost a half of our country is inside the Arctic circle. Luckily, there's Gulf Stream which warms up a bit whole nation. Otherwise weather would be similar to Siberia (or Alaska) and that ape-crap cold in there! Last year there was record breakage in Lapland - temperature dropped below -40 celsius. That's almost -49 fahrenheits.
