Background
Taahl was born in Blacklight in morrowind, and even as a baby people could tell he was different. He seemed to have a gift for controling the minds of others, making them fear him, and offering him respect. His parents, oblivious to his dark doings, thought it was a gift from azura; maybe it was, but after the evnts of one day nobody ever thought that again.
His father had caught him forcing a younger boy to stab his brother with a pocket knife, and Taahl was given a brutal beating each night for three months. growing tired of all the pain, Taahl did the unthinkable; he forced his father to drown himself in a well and when his mother found out she fled, never to be seen by her son again. After being chased out of Blacklight by the authorities, Taahl wandered aimlessly for several years, unsure whether he deserved to live or not.
Until he stumbled upon nightcaller temple. His skills allowed him to be welcomed by Vaerminas group of cultists, and soon he was able to contact the Daedric prince herself via the skull of corruption. over the years he grew in strength, both mentally and physically. When a band of Orcish invaders attacked them for siphoning energy from their dreams, Taahl led the defender's of the temple to the fight, but was betrayed by fellow cultists after they released the Miasma without his approval. Many years later he awoke, Refreshed and ready to kill those who had breached his temple, He found the elf who had betrayed him all those years ago, and had now 'reformed' as an Aedric priest. He was trying to banish the skull from the plane but Taahl stopped him, forcing the dunmer to throw himself off of the temples roof. After reclaiming the skull, Taahl started gathering more energy from the people of dawnstar until he could engender his own ship (named
night terrors as part of a cruel joke) and army of nightmarish creatures from Vaerminas realm of quagmire. he then set out to sea, following his 'mistress'es' wishes and heading to solstheim...
...I know what your thinking, no he wont try and control your mind, he only does in desperate circumstances.
