Name: Bjornir Strong-shield
Race:Nord
Age: 36
Gender: Male
Class: Warrior
Weaponry: A steel sword, with a dagger at his belt.
Armour: An ironbound shield, with a wide leather strap. He wears dark pants, with a leather jerkin over a suit of chainmail. He also wears leather gauntlets, and boots.
Appearance: Bjornir is not very tall, but he is broad chested, with wide shoulders, and a heavily muscled body. His hair is fairly short, a chestnut brown in colour. His beard is short, and the same colour, covering most of his cheeks and jaw. His eyes are a deep green, while his skin is pale, like most of the people of Skyrim.
Fighting style: Bjornir uses his shield to protect himself from ranged fire, while he closes with the enemy. The Nordic guard captain and soldier is a very skilled close combat fighter, using his shield and sword techniques to defend his allies and destroy the enemy. However, he is vulnerable against large groups, should they be able to weigh him down with bodies.
Personality: Bjornir is a dutiful man, and often puts aside anything but his dedication to his city. This can make him appear a callous man, but he can be caring and is loyal to his friends, no matter the odds.
Backstory: Born outside the city of Solitude, to a thane of Haafingar, Bjornir never showed much interest in running the day to day of his fathers' estate, rather more interested in swordplay. He learned under the head of his fathers' guard, and eventually, joined the Solitude guard regiments.
But the young Strong-shield wasn't content with merely defending the walls of Skyrims' capital, he volunteered for long ranging missions, often leading groups of guardsmen to the borders of Hjaalmarch. He gained a reputation for fearlessness and dedication. Many bandits fell before Bjornir and his men.
One day, on a usual patrol into the mountains around Solitude, he and his men were ambushed by a large bandit party. He lost many friends that day, and would have lost his own life, save for the intervention of a ranger who happened upon the skirmish. Torin Greenbow slew many a bandit with his well placed arrows. Torin guided Bjornir and his wounded men back to Solitude, where the guardsman was praised for his bravery. He and Torin became good friends, often meeting in the local tavern for drinks. Eventually, Bjornir was made a captain of the Solitude guard, shortly before the emergence of the Blight.
