Dragon Quest 6 Comes To Mobile
For the longest time, Dragon Quest 6: Realms of Revelation was a Japan-exclusive chapter of the RPG series. It was originally released in 1995, a year when RPGs weren’t heavy sellers and SNES translations were rare when the system was cutting-edge. They became rarer once it was obsolete, and so both Dragon Quests 5 and 6 never received “Warrior” alterations to their logos.
This did not change until 2011, a mere four years ago, when Square-Enix created a remake of Dragon Quest 6 on the DS with enhanced graphics that was released internationally. (Could be worse….Australia’s first legal release of Chrono Trigger was the DS port.)
Don’t want to hunt for the DS? Good news…you can now play Dragon Quest 6 on your phone or tablet. And it’s a legitimate, complete port….not a crummy freemium game, a full $14.99 game. Depending on your situation DQ6 can be played with one-handed or two-handed controls, and it has a quick save feature.
Dragon Quest 6 is now available on iPhone and Android. Get it at Google Play or the App Store.
