Diablo III: Malthael Joins Heroes of the Storm
Per Blizzard Entertainment, Diablo III’s Reaper of Souls expansion villain, Malthael, has now been revealed as a new character for the roster of Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm. You can get all his stats and information, along with all of his in-game skills and abilities at the above link. You can check out the reveal announcement on the official Twitter account below.
Blizzard had been teasing his reveal earlier in the week before finally making the announcement. Malthael is a powerful Assassin in the game. He has the powerful Reaper’s Mark which is left on any non-structure target that takes his basic attack. That target will then have the Reaper’s Mark debuff for four seconds. Any targets that have the Mark will then be revealed and then lose 2.5% of their maximum health for every second of the duration they have the mark.
Another one of his abilities is Death Shroud, which will also put the Reaper’s Mark on all the targets the attack hits. Malthael can also utilize Soul Rip, which will cause nearby enemies who already have the mark to take on damage. Meanwhile, Malthael will heal himself based on the targets he’s able to hit with Soul Rip. Finally, Malthael can use Wraith Strike to teleport through an enemy carrying the Reaper’s Mark. This deals further damage and also reinforces the duration of time for the Mark.
Malthael’s release date for the game has not yet been revealed, but he should likely be available for Heroes of the Storm very soon.
