Jared woke the next morning, looking out towards the window. "Ugh, I still have t find a Courier." Getting up and dressed, he set out, finding one near the entrance. "Excuse me,boy," he called out, "I'd like you to deliever a letter to riverwood for me." Giving directions to his parents home, he gave the proper coin and set off to the stables outside of town.
He was also wondering where he saw Lai'Quir's armor from. He had never seen it before, but it looked so familiar. Maybe he would ask her when they met up again.

Lai'Quir seemed to form from the very shadows of the gate's archway, though it wasn't really like that. The Agent of Shadow was a very skilled sneak, and it became obvious here. Nightingales also thrived on the shadows. She had her hood and mask on, so her features were concealed, as usual. She gave a slight nod of greeting. "Lai'Quir greets you, Mr. Highwind." She hoped he wouldn't question her about how she'd gotten into Whiterun, but it would be a simple matter to evade such an inquiry. The Nightingale Blade's blue-gray metal shined on her hip, and a Dwarven dagger was visible on the other.Jared nearl jumped out of his skin when he heard the Kajiht's voice come out of nowhere. Turning to face her he said, "Geez, try to do that a little less please? Nearly gave me a heart attack." He grinned however and made to pay for the carriage.
"To Markarth if you please." He gave the man the proper payment and went to the back. He motioned to the seats with a wave of his hands.
"Ladies first, Miss Lai'Quir."

Lai'Quir bowed her head. She was grinning behind her mask, which hid her expressions. "Forgive Lai'Quir, Mr. Highwind. She will avoid doing this in the future." When he gestured and said that she should go first, obviously out of chivalry, she grinned and said, "You are most kind to Lai'Quir, Mr. Highwind, but she must refuse. She prefers to be the last in and the last out." She was not concerned with how he reacted. None were ever sure of her true motives, not even the Thieves' Guild to which she belonged.Jared was obviously taken aback by this, but said nothing of it. Instead he merely nodded his head and got onto the cart. after the two got to their seats, the long rode to Markarth started.
He decided to tell Lai'Quir the rest of what was to happen.
"So, here is the plan when we get to Markarth, we have to set out and take the left path. We'll keep following that path, until we come to a bridge. Next to the bridge will be a small slope we'll have to climb. After that, we should be near a cave, most likely where a few Forsworn have been posted as guards. From then on out, it's gonna be an all out fight till we geet to the sundered towers through the caves."Share this page
