He finished just as she orgasmed, for the third or fourth time during their bout. A massive relief came over Adnirr'ach as his load entered into her, and an almost feverish sensation came over him as they lay together on their sides in his cot. As she lay gasping and panting, Adnirr'ach absentmindedly ran a hand along Desiree's curvacious body.
But at the same time, he knew Leandros and Valindril were waiting, preparing for him, for their intended escape. Leandros used his connections to ensure that their guards were distracted by the local prostitutes for the night, and if they did not act soon, then all may be lost.
Normally, Adnirr'ach would not have thought twice about leaving his bedded woman behind, but he knew he must at least ask, "My lady, my friends and I have a plan to escape. The guards are indisposed, and we have a ship waiting for us but we must leave tonight. I wish it were not so, but the captain only made room for us three, and refuses any, er, surprises. I swear to you, once I am out, I will come back for you...I am sorry."
Hating himself, Adnirr'ach did not wait for her response, but leaped up from the cot, pulling on his clothes. He ran out the door, and up the stairs in the holding area leading to the city. It was there that he saw Leandros and Valindril waiting. "Took you long enough, eh friend?" asked Leandros. "Yes, I was beggining to think you had gotten, er, colder feet," the Altmer Valindril added, uneccesarily.
Still disgusted by the way he had just left the girl, Adnirr'ach replied gruffly, "Let us just get on with this, shall we?"
They moved through the city, blending into the rowdiness in the streets, even with Adnirr'ach's massive frame. Arriving at the docks only took about a half hour, and there they saw the captain of their intended escape vessel standing at the helm. "Captain Breguin, well met. Here is your payment, and let us be off at once, shall we?" Adnirr'ach said to the portly man.
"Ah well, sir, about that..." the Breton man said with a very sarcastic grin, as at least a dozen Penitus Oculatus Agents stepped out from the shadows, "These here fella's offered me a, let's say, better deal."
Realizing they had been betrayed and acting at once, Adnirr'ach dodged the arrest attempt the first one made, and subsequently dodged the quick sword thrust. Grabbing the weapon by the blade and ignoring the pain, he ripped it from the soldier's grasp, turning the sword around so he was grabbing the hilt, and shoved it through the neck of the Agent. He agilely dogged and parried half a dozen more sword strikes from the nearest six other Penitus Oculatus agents, receiving multiple shallow slash wounds, and one deep thrust to his side. None of these were fatal given his status as an Elder Vampire, but they did hurt him, slowing the vampire down ever so slightly.
He immediately slashed the throat of the next nearest agent, and did a barrel roll, coming up behind another Agent, and stabbed him in the spine. Just when he thought that they might have a shot, Adnirr'ach heard a cry of pain near him. Spinning around, he saw the Altmer had taken two simultaneous swords in his chest, falling onto the dark ground, dying, his blood blending into the nighttime brickwork.
Another familiar grunt told him that Leandros had fallen, and indeed, he was down on the ground with a long slash on his left arm, and a spear in his leg, all the while pinned by the Penitus Oculatus agents who were tying him up.
Next thing the vampire knew, he was surrounded by the remaining 7 Agents. Three came at him with rope, three with heavy clubs, and the last stood guard, crossbow trained on his heart. Adnirr'ach dodged the first man, hooking his right arm around the man's throat and with a sharp crack, broke his neck. But, he could not focus on so many, so close, so fast. Right before he was struck down unconscious, Adnirr'ach let loose a violent, vampiric roar that echoed through the night.
