Romancing SaGa 3 Now Available On Modern Platforms
When can you romance SaGa? How about now? Square has released Romancing SaGa 3 today on multiple platforms.
The game originally came out for the Super Famicom in November of 1995, and due to several factors, was never translated and sold outside of Japan. Now Square is making up for that blunder by re-releasing the game, in English, on EVERYTHING….Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, XBox One, PC via Steam, PS Vita (that’s correct, Vita), the App Store and Google Play. If you’ve got at least one of those devices, you can play Romancing SaGa 3 at last.
24 years after the game’s initial Japanese release, Romancing Saga 3 is now available for the first time in the West on modern platforms. Romancing Saga 3 gives players the freedom to forge their own path, choosing to play through eight different narratives led by eight protagonists, each with their own motives and unique personalities. Developed by industry veterans, including renowned developer Akitoshi Kawazu (FINAL FANTASY®, Romancing SaGa, SaGa Frontier), this HD remaster will feature optimized graphics, a new dungeon called the ‘Phantom Maze’ to explore, and a NEW GAME+ function. Romancing Saga 3 adds new storylines to the game original game, making it the perfect time for both new and veteran players to experience the SaGa series.
If you were thinking of getting this on Switch, good news…it’s on sale there. Square is offering a 20% discount for the Switch version of Romancing SaGa 3, which will last until December 1. Wait a minute, how’s that fair for anyone else? It isn’t, so….Square is also offering the same discount on all other platforms, for an EVEN LONGER time (December 4). Take that, Switch!
