How Long Will It Take To Complete Final Fantasy XV?
Presumably, Final Fantasy XV will be a huge game, but how huge? The game’s director, Hajime Tabata, recently said in a livestream interview that he expects the average player to complete FFXV in around 50 hours. He was asked the same question months before, and his response was 40 hours, but he says since then a lot more content has been put into the game.
Siliconera reports that Tabata spoke about finishing and polishing up FFXV, which is still planned for a simultaneous worldwide release sometime this year. Right now the game has issues where it dips below 30FPS in some areas; his goal is to get everything running at 30FPS (or preferably better) by launch date. Right now, he says, he can’t promise his team can pull it off before deadline.
One other tidbit revealed: there may be a special Playstation 4 bundle that includes the game! This isn’t that much of a surprise, but Tabata confirmed he is conducting talks with Sony to make the bundle possible. He had no answer on whether there would be a similar bundle for the XBox One version, but Microsoft has been so bundle-happy lately, I would bet on it.
The big question everybody REALLY wants answered is when the game is coming out. We’ll know in less than a week: Square-Enix’s release date announcement is scheduled for March 31. Early rumors have pegged Final Fantasy XV’s release date around September 30.
