Amazon Triggers Magic to All Fallout Games
Fallout 76 has endured a long, hard road – but one that has finally reached its peak. The game’s disastrous launch was a mess of overlapping problems that made it hard to play and meme-worthy.
With Bethesda’s ongoing efforts, the game is stepping into the spotlight and enjoying a wave of positive attention. The game now boasts more cryptids than you can shake a stick at, companions, quests, Expeditions, factions, and a battle royale mode than ever before.
In the wake of the Fallout show on Amazon Prime, every game in the franchise has found new players. Games under Bethesda’s umbrella include Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, and Fallout 4.

Although each of these RPGs offers a meaty campaign – and plenty of mods to keep players entertained- some may just not hold up. Take Fallout 5 for eaxample, it is still a ways off, and Fallout 4 is already more than a decade old. Fallout 76 is better suited to attract new fans, as it has enough content and user-made mods to sustain its own fandom.
According to an article on Polygon, creative director Jonathan Rush believes that Fallout 76 tells a unique story bridging the gap between the nuclear bombing and its aftermath.
“The characters that initially launched with 76 were nuclear shadows, whose purpose was to tell the story of what all had happened between [when] the bombs drop and the point where you emerge from Vault 76,” said Rush. “Since Appalachia was initially devoid of human life, we relied on these characters as tools to give our players an understanding of the new world they had emerged into.”
What is more certain is that the numbers are finally roving in the right direction for Bethesda and fans are loving it. As long as the Amazon show keeps running, more and more players will find a place in Fallout.
