OOC: Ok. For those of you familliar with my work, I will NOT be playing Simus this RP. I'll be playing Alice, his elder daughter. You Into the Dark people will meet her when we get to the Reach Stormcloak camp and I intend to pick her up as a second character, so you guys can assume you know her. (Sorry, I don't mean to exclude you guys not in the RP. I just wanted to establish relationships with people I do know before I posted. I look forward to getting to know the rest of you
)
IC: Alice lay on her back, floating in the hot springs in the middle of the forest. Her body was well relaxed, thanks to the steam and warm water, but her mind was still filled with the same restless thoughts.
Four days. That's how long it had been since she was in Riften starting this fool's errand. She had spent all of yesterday waiting here. Her lover promised her she would meet up with her here, that they would finally have the time they both deserved together. But when Alice arrived she was nowhere to be found.
figues. They always tell you where to go. They always promise that they'll wait for you. But they never wait.
At this point, she swam back to the border rocks that made up the pool and pulled herself up onto a large one. The air was cold after being in the water for so long, but the sun was quicky rising and the rocks were already warming up. The one Alice propped herself down on was radiating with comfortable heat and would normally be quite pleasent to lay on. It didn't really matter though. Try as she might, she just couldn't relax here. She just sat there, pale as cream, stark naked and all alone.
"Damn you Vex. Damn you to Oblivion" Alice muttered to herself, trying in vain to hold back tears of anger and sorrow. How could that little coward do this to her? I Vex didn't have the balls to make good on her promise, then what was all that time in Riften sneaking around for. She was the only reason Alice tolerated those pigs down in the Thieves Guild. It's not like she owed them anything. Sure her father had paid good coin to keep her safe and hidden after they had found each other in Whiterun, but Vex was one of the few bearable one among them. Delvin was ok she guessed, and he did have a good head for business. Brynjolf was pretty cute but in dire need of a haircut. The rest were scum. Honorless scum. Then again, what did she really expect from the Thieves Guild?
That was a good point. Alice loved Vex, but Vex was still a thief, and a damn good one. She made it clear that she took what she wanted and gave nothing for free. Alice thought she had cut through her act and had gotten to know the girl behind the thief. The one with needs and desires, just like everyone else. Guess Alice's heart was just another job.
Alice continued to sob into her own chest, not bothering to move her streight ebony locks back. They touched her shoulders if she bent her head back, so there was just enough to cover her face, which she welcomed. She didnt want see anything right now. As she sobbed, she was unaware of the small cabin right by the lake bordering her hot springs, or of how loud she was being to whoever was inside.
