Avi was not in a good mood. First off, he had spent the past few hours in the back of Indicum's wagon, bouncing along the road. His lack of a horse marked him different than the others, and he had no wish for more attention.
Briefly, Avi had considered killing the three companions who still rode with him, and use their life force to bolster his energy. Surely he could, with the added strength, find the source of this mystery.
Unfortunately, Gatren, Seraphina, and Drapor would ask questions, and who knew what would happen if Avi tried to take a Vampire's life. It might not work at all.
So Avi sat, listening to Indicum's harsh singing voice, and allowing flames that burned red and black to dance around his hands, letting off no heat. It occured to Avi that Salthar, being a vampire, might recognize the Blood Magic, but he didn't worry. After all, if the Altmer tried to make a move, Avi would simply warn Gatren, and allow the two to wear eachother out. After all, this was a rather disfunctional group, and it would not take much prodding to turn them against eachother
Smiling slightly, Avi planned for the final moments, when they discovered this weapon cache. He knew he could overpower Indicum and was fairly certain of his power of Seraphina and Ysarth. Unfortunately, Salthar would prove quite a challenge, as would Drapor and Gatren, a vampire and Dawnguard, respectively.
The mage's smile widened, imagining the rush of life that would come from killing so many. Perhaps he could make a deal with Salthar. Avi was a good judge of character, and suspected that the Altmer had something planned as well.
