Xbox 360 Battle for Whiterun Glitch

Just got to this part in the questline on my Nord Barbarian for the Stormcloaks, and it went pretty good outside of Whiterun. The Imperials were all attacking me, I was attacking them with my new Dwarven Battleaxe, and it was all peachy until I got inside of Whiterun.
I see Adrianne at the forge, casually using the tanning rack, and a Whiterun Guard next to the gate saying "Watch the skies, traveler."

I got up to Dragonsreach, thinking making the Jarl surrender would be easy, but all his conversation options are the usual. There's no cinematic, no Galmar, no epic fight, no nothing. Help, pl0x?

What is the exact text in your journal for what to do next?

"Force Jarl [...] to surrender" or something along those lines. Basically it's the same text you get once you enter the city, except [...] replaces Balgruuf.

I'm gonna try a few more things. You can still tell me your suggestion, though.
