Skyrim Races – Remembeing the Five Race Mods
Earlier this year, Skyrim community released five new race mods that allowed players to improve the features of these races. Some players were able to try them and enjoyed the new advantages such as flying or spells. Nonetheless, others have not yet tested the water. In fact, some people never heard the news and have no idea that they even exist.
So, for those who missed out, here they are again. There is no doubt that you may have come across most of them. Yet, maybe not as a mod. It is not the case either that Skyrim is in need of new races. There are tons out there including vampires, but a change is good every now and then.
Daedra
If you are not familiar with the Daedra, they are the demonic race that populates the plains of Oblivion. Daedra has dark brown skin, horns, and horns. In addition to powerful traits, you get a set of fiery wings that will allow you to traverse the map faster.
Akavir
With this mod, you can play as the Akaviri, an intriguing race that appears in both Oblivion and Skyrim. They are known to have been influenced by The Blades, which is why their armor and weapons are so different from other races.
Known for their skill in battle, especially with a blade, this mod adds special abilities to the race. These include venom and night vision, to fit with their variegated Vampirism.
Skeletons
Skyrim dungeons have a lot of skeletons, but this mod lets you play as them with unique customization options. You can have the skull of any base race, such as a Khajiit. You can also find new outfits, quests, and followers.
The Centaurs
There’s nothing like getting around the map with the Centaurs. These woodland races are similar to Wood Elves in their top half, as well as their talents. They are excellent marksmen.
Halflings
Halflings, or Hobbits, have the same humanoid shape as other races but are stout in size. They can go undetected much easier than others due to their size, making them expert burglars and stealth experts and receiving special blessings.
