Persona 5 Dated For Japan
We still don’t know when the US is getting Persona 5 (we know that it’s happening, we just don’t know when). But this week Atlus revealed when its home country would be getting the RPG — September 15, 2016.
It was pointed out that this date is just five days shy of Persona’s 20th anniversary, the franchise having debuted with Persona 1 on the original Playstation September 20, 1996. Atlus is aware of this, and to celebrate Persona’s birthday, they’re offering a special anniversary soundtrack collection in Japan. Other celebratory efforts will include Persona 5 The Animation: The Day Breakers, an anime making its debut in Japan around the same time.
Announced back in 2013 (for the Playstation 3), there’s been a much longer wait for Persona 5 than there was for its predecessors. Whenever Atlus (now owned by Sega) pins down a completion date for localization of this game, we’ll pass the word on to you.
