Persona 5 Royal Coming March 31, 2020
It’s been out in Japan since October….when is the US getting Persona 5 Royal? Turns out, very soon (relatively speaking). Atlus revealed the date today in a new trailer: March 31, 2020.
You don’t have to be rooooooooooyal, but it helps. This edition of the game is mostly the same as what came out on the PS4 years ago, but it adds additional content like a new area to explore, an additional semester of school, and a new Phantom Thief, Kasumi Yoshizawa (also known as Violet). You can also expect new music, refined graphics, and other smaller touches.
Atlus knows Persona 5 Royal is an anticipated game (the only thing more anticipated would be Persona 6) and so they’re going all out with the deluxe release packages. When the game becomes available next March, you’ll have all these options to choose from:
Persona 5 Royal Phantom Thieves Edition – $89.99
- Official Joker Mask (comes with a stand)
- Collector’s Box
- Art book
- Soundtrack
- Limited edition Steelbook case
- Dynamic PS4 Theme code
Persona 5 Royal Launch Edition – $59.99
- Limited edition Steelbook case
- Dynamic PS4 Theme code
Persona 5 Royal Ultimate Edition – $99.99
- Includes the game and all DLC bundles plus six additional costume packs
Persona 5 Royal Deluxe Edition – $69.99
- Includes the game and the Persona 5 Royal Kasumi Costume Bundle
We too think it’s a rip that the DLCs aren’t included in the Phantom Thieves Edition; every other company would include that stuff. But anyway, as we said, Persona 5 Royal will appear on PS4 March 31.
