seriously at the beginning, I was like, meh I'm not going to finish this.. but still watched it, and liked it :D

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's one of those movies, at least for me, that trying to watch it in a wrong kinda mood ruins the whole flick. But there's a certain charm to it. It's not in the story, it's not in the characters, but in the atmosphere. I think the two lines in the beginning, "Another time, another place" sum up the whole movie. It's a fairy tale, and never pretends to be anyhting else.

Indeed, that line stood out for me too! altho Ellen Aim looks... interesting ;) but all and all, it was a movie worth watching! I enjoyed it :D
