    It just doesn't make any sense that all the NPC keep talking about a murderer and there is never any more progression for the entire city...It must not be completely fixed. Why would the steward keep saying that the house is not available quite yet if there is never going to be a quest trigger...

    Thanks again for your help Rayven...Maybe the next update will solve this issue. It's just not worth going back 20 levels just to buy a house in Windhelm.

    I don't get it...Every NPC on the quest list is alive except for Arivanya (Found her casket). I've tried pickpocketing the key from Tova and entering the Hjerim house. Ive tried to give the butcher journals to various people. Why does the next murder never happen? Nothing seems to trigger...

    When I go to the in game system tab the numbers at the bottom left say 1.4.28.0.4 does that help?

    Im on PS3...It doesn't say it needs an update when It loads...I can't furnish my house in Whiterun either because Brill is dead in the street. This game is so f'ing buggy! lol

    No luck in any of the beds or on the balcony...I guess he's just going to stay dead in the street. Maybe in the next update they will fix it.

    Yes, I finished that quest way before the Stormcloaks took over Whiterun.
