About me? ABOUT ME!?
I love The Elder Scrolls, simple as that.
Started with Oblivion, loved it. Continued with Skyrim. Loving it.
I have always been an over thinker, actions had to have reasons and reasons had to have stories behind them. Whenever I played video games, characters that I would create had to have a certain style, and stick with it. When ever I get the rare urge to experiment with a different style of play (in any videogame) I would create a whole new character.
The Elder Scrolls games was all about creating characters, making decisions, and having opinions. This completely fit me as a person.
I am a huge Elder Scrolls buff, as well as Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones.
When I was a little kid, I would always imagine myself in the Lord of the Rings, what I would be, the weapons I used, what I stood for, my personality, etc.
I daydreamed about that all day long. I would even write stories on microsoft word about my adventures with the sons of Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli...
I was so creative and confident in my writing, I loved to read my work. I always tried to share with my parents, my friends - but no one was into that sort of thing, and anyone who was, weren't as into it as much as I was. Nobody was able to understand the pieces of my real self that went into the work of my stories and character.
When Oblivion and Skyrim came out, I no longer needed to tell stories to myself, I could at least PLAY my created character, and day dream about what he would be doing when I wasn't playing.
I always looked online whenever I needed questions answered about Skyrim, and sometimes even when I needed some opinions on decisions.
A rather popular and reliable website I would come across would be, yes, you guessed it, THIS website.
I could only get a glimpse of what this website had to offer, the Ipod Touch is not one to do intense investigating on.
Anyways, when I got a closer look, (now on a laptop) I noticed the forums being filled with hundreds of threads of skyrim talk and discussion.
It was cool, I definitely made it my go-to website whenever I needed help.
My eyes literally shot straight open and my jaw dropped onto my desk when I discovered another part of the website....
Fan-fiction and Roleplaying.
I have never seen a website like this before, or any forum-based website for that matter.
But when I delved into the different stories, I would think of literally jumping out of seat in happiness.
This website..... a place where one could post his own created character, and share it with others. And even create a story with MULTIPLE creative characters, and different people helping to create one big story.
I immediately decided I would return to my old ways of writing. I signed up just 4 days ago, I made my character up, and after being satisfied, got myself involved in as many open RP's as possible, and started righting my first few chapters of my fan fiction.
This website was made for me. I finally can present my work again, the best part, presenting it to you, and every other member on this website, for they share the exact same passion for character creation and story telling as I do, and are able to read and understand the feelings and motives of my created character that anyone who didn't love The Elder Scrolls or lacked the imagination and writing experience that would be necessary in order to admire my work, or anyone elses.
Me, I am just glad that I found such a website, and I discovered a great number of people with the same interests as me, finally.
