You cannot fast travel whilst guards are pursing you
This also happened to me once, i just stood and waited, the guards were following me and when they showed up i killed them. Your problem sounds more like a glitch.- Eos Jake

The iron daggers thing
The iron daggers method is the one that my boyfriend is trying to help me level up my character and my smithing with. I find it quite easy, although i do mine my own materials for it. I find that much more interesting than buying all of the iron ingots.- Eos Jake
