This would be perfect for one of my characters as part of her "origins". Is there any room for a lost soul?

    Name - Elsa The Fleet

    Gender - Female

    Race - Nord

    Age(in human years) - 19

    Alignment - Chaotic Neutral

    Appearance -

Elsa is average height for a nord, and is deceptively slim considering her strength. She has a faint scar running down from her left eyebrow down to her cheek after misusing her father's dagger a a child. She has long light brown hair which she usually has tied back in a braid or loose down her shoulders and forest green eyes.

    0d4e029fbcef4ecf1401c57c4d1848d6.jpg

    Equipment -

Handcrafted brown leather with green accents, Ebony bow named Ulfvindr (Wolf Wind), two ebony daggers for close range combat, and an assortment of poisons. Ulfvindir was Elsa's first steal and has always been her favourite bow. She often wears a small amulet hung on a chain around her neck. The amulet is a sign of her devotion to the Daedric Prince Nocturnal and on her travels she had it enchanted by a crooked mage. Whether it does help her to blend into the dark or not she doesn't know, but she is never without it.

    Personality -

Elsa is happy to live up to the label of "rapscallion and general ne'er do well." She's playful and mischievous on the surface, always trying to play people against each other for her own amusement. While her behaviour can be construed as "bad" it's usually without malice. It's just best for everyone else if she isn't bored. At a deeper level there are hints of a lost soul, echoing from her childhood, but she very rarely exposes that part of herself and prefers to be viewed as a charming, if a little annoying character. Though chaotic in her behaviour, her approach to her trade is ruthlessly precise and focussed. She believes in always coming prepared, and when on a job she will prefer to take her time in order to gather as much information as she can. She does not accept failure.

    Backstory -

Elsa was born in Cyrodiil, the Waterfront to be precise. She was raised by her father, a merchant and occasional fence for the local guild thieves. Her father was neither educated or talented, but he had a good heart underneath it all. Though he dealt with petty criminals each day, he always made sure to teach his young daughter the importance of honour and virtue. However as a small child she learned the art of thievery very quickly and spent a lot of her time acquiring items for her father to sell on. She would never speak of the lessons she learnt from following the local thieves around, always looking away when her father asked how she procured her trinkets. She knew it would break his heart to know she had started down this path so young.

And so she carried on, that is until she was caught in a noble's house and instead of paying the price herself, her father offered to take her place. After that her only rule was never to get caught and eventually she packed her things and moved to Skyrim to start over.

Travelling alone proved treacherous and often times stupid, but as a young girl leaving behind a broken home it was paradise. She took the time to hone her skills, often paying much needed coin in order to gain the knowledge of the masters she met in the barren tundras and woody hollows. Naturally she would steal back her gold, but she insisted on making the initial payment, as a way of acknowledging her father's rules.

Now she has managed to make it over the mountains separating Cyrodiil and Skyrim, and is in search of a group to travel with.

    Beliefs -

Elsa was raised by her nordic father to belief and worship Talos. While she acknowledges the Nine Divines she prefers to make her own destiny and does not dwell on worship.

Of the Daedric Princes Elsa follows Nocturnal. After a successful target she will always take time to thank Nocturnal, this often taking form of a few bottles of wine by the roadside.

Regarding the civil war Elsa takes on neither side, choosing not to get involved with politics while she travels Tamriel. As far as she is concerned the war only makes her job easier, so long as she doesn't attract too much attention to herself.

    Skills -

Elsa is an accomplished thief and alchemist. She dislikes getting her hands dirty, so she's more prone to use her bow for long distance shots, rather than her daggers which are only for extreme situations. She often has a number of poisons on her person at all times for aiding silent takedowns. He best skill how ever is stealth. She can often enter and leave a room without ever being noticed, usually with a fair few stolen items lining her pack.

She is incredibly agile from spending much of her childhood clambering about the Imperial City to evade the guards. She also has limited magic skills which she learnt from an elderly mage travelling from Skyrim. She dislikes using her magic and will only tap into that source of power in times where no other option is possible. Her preferred schools are destruction and illusion.

    Weaknesses -

Elsa is weak in close combat. Her years of mastering the bow have meant that in cramped conditions she can sometimes struggle to hold her own. She is also impulsive, still young and often times naive, preferring to follow her heart rather than her mind. She trusts easily, perhaps a result of being alone and isolated for so many years.

    Gentleman Adventurer

    A True Gentleman
This sounds like a very fun RP, count me in!

    Name: Relyn Telvayn

    Gender: Male

    Race: Dunmer

Class: Battlemage, though he prefers to be called an Experimenter.
Relyn uses shock spells as his primary means of combat, with a glass shortsword enchanted with absorb health and magicka for when things get up close and personal. Mostly prefers to avoid combat altogether.

Description: Sports long, greasy black hair and a goatee, often kept in poor condition due to his disregard for personal hygiene. His face is old and wrinkled from his long life, and he always seems to have a slight scowl on his face.

Biography: Born in 2E 558, Relyn Telvayn always had a natural talent for magic. His family, Dunmer nobles, were quite influential with ties across Morrowind, eventually gaining leadership of the province... or they would have, if not for the Knahaten Flu. The Flu infected Telvayn Manor in southern Morrowind, killing all members of the family.

Relyn was studying abroad at the time of his family's death. After burying their bodies in the Telvayn ancestral tomb, he decided to use his knowledge of magic, alchemy, and Dwemer science to find a cure for the disease. His work would take many years, and it was cut short by the beginning of the Alliance War. Joining his many kinsmen in the Ebonheart Pact, Relyn abandoned his potions and levers for armor and swords.

The war made Relyn Telvayn emerge a new mer. The horrors of war had made him realize that he alone could not hope to change the fate of Tamriel. He needed power, and what better place to find it then House Telvanni. The house showed him many dark secrets, and with them Relyn built himself a laboratory in Skyrim, where he continues to live, still looking for power to further the advancement of his race.

Stranded after an ambush by bandits while traveling, Relyn decides to travel with a caravan back to Skyrim. Besides, the caravan may provide an ample opportunity to discover even more of Skyrim's secrets.

Personality: Very cynical, with a dark sense of humor. He operates on the old values of House Telvanni, and considers other races inferior to the Dunmer. He dislikes others, but find cooperation a necessary evil.

Misc: Despises Argonians due to their sacking of House Telvanni. Always wears his Telvanni Robes. Keeps a custom built miniature Dwemer Spider as a pet, which he often talks to when he gets bored.

Due to their large supply of blood they kept him alive and immortal for a time. Slowly he began to forget his life memories. Finally he managed to escape due to a flimsy bar. He ran to the forest where h stayed till he found shellter in the form of an abanded miner's barracks. As the years went by he retained training in sneak, close combat, and restoration magic. Farthlion

I swear to drunk, I'm not Talos.
I would love to join this RP. Although I am new to these forums, I have experience roleplaying and am very active online (so you won't get stuck waiting for me to reply). My character is a bard/reluctant Redguard warrior who I am sure would be quite interesting company on a long journey.

    ---

    Name: Farthlion
    Class: Bard/Warrior
    Race: Redguard
    Gender: Male
    Age: 26
    Height: 6'6''
Day of Birth: 22 of Last Seed, 4E 172
    Birthplace: Dragonstar, Hammerfell
    Marital Status: Single

Traits: He is an excellent blacksmith and negotiator, he does not judge anyone until he gets to know them, he dislikes violence, and he is a very friendly person.
Flaws: His hands are deeply calloused and often blistered, he has several burn scars from bad experiences at the forge, he can be cowardly and avoid confrontation, he is obsessed with making any armor or weapons of his creation perfect, and his philosophy to fight with words and not swords can be quite annoying to those who love to fight.

Alliances: While Farthlion doesn't like to be outspoken about who he supports and who he does not (he is a firm believer of freedom of opinion and respects others), his first family is the Bards College, and his second is the Imperial Army. The first being his home and those who took him in as a young man, and the latter being many of his friends who he has crafted and repaired weapons and armor for.

Weapons: Farthlion always prefers to use speech as a weapon first, then his swords. He is skilled in using his words, preferring to use them to keep matters peaceful rather than intimidate or start fights. Farthlion can also wield a sword well, keeping his own handmade piece at his hip at all times.

Description: Farthlion is towering Redguard who has dark skin and black hair. His hair is short and falls to his neck in a cornrows style. He has dark brown eyes and slight stubble around his mouth which goes down to his chin. He is a very healthy male, having the stamina and strength to to handle larger weapons and be able to hammer materials with great ease at a weapon forge. His muscular appearance matches that of the typical Redguard, but not as pronounced in the chest and abdomen, as he can be rather lazy at times. As a Redguard, his muscles are natural and it would take a great deal of laziness to negate their appearance. When knowing he will be fighting, he often paints red dashes under his eyes, a trait taken up from his father. Farthlion is often seen in scaled horn armor, fur boots, and magically enhanced gloves. He prefers not to wear any headgear unless necessary, feeling as if it messes up his concentration rather than narrow it.

Personality: As explained before, Farthlion prefers not to fight, and is an oddity - a peaceful Redguard. He seems intimidating at a first glance, but once spoken to he becomes a calm and positive presence in the room who would only hurt a fly if the fly was threatening to kill someone. Farthlion is one to see humor in all things, and enjoys the company of others as well as his own solitude. He can be quite cowardly when it comes to violent confrontation, and only will draw a weapon in defense.

Background: Farthlion was born in Dragonstar in Hammerfell to a family of warriors. He was trained at a young age to handle one handed swords and to forge his own metal. Much to his family's disappointment, he disliked the idea of violence with a sword, and instead focused his early years on mastering smithing, reading books about how orcs would smith their own weapons with so much emotion and effort, he yearned to do the same. His parents had attempted to unlock his love for fighting, as they knew it was in his blood (he was a Redguard), but he did not embrace it with the same feelings as they did.

Many of his nights were spent at the weapon forge for Farthlion in his youth. One of these nights, when he was 17, he was approached by a violent Redguard who wanted a fight. Farthlion managed to calm him down, and upon asking what was wrong, the violent Redguard began shouting his story in anger. His parents had heard the disturbance and rush to protect their son, killing the Redguard without question as soon as they saw him. Farthlion was shocked and disturbed by their actions, telling them that the Redguard meant no harm to him and that violence wasn't the answer. His father grew angry at this, pent up frustration spewing out as he demanded Farthlion either fight or leave Hammerfell, for he was no Redguard without a thirst for blood.

His son then left in silence, crossing the treacherous border into Skyrim and not stopping until he made it to Dragon Bridge, where a kind guard was nice enough to point out that he would fit well within the Bards College. Upon arrival to Solitude, Farthlion gained many strange glances. Due to the history of the two races, there were many hateful glares and watchful looks - a massive Redguard was not to be overlooked in times when things were tense between the warriors of Hammerfell and the Empire. He was not like his kin, and after several months in Solitude, everyone else seemed to realize this.

Farthlion found his place in the Bards College very quickly. He was widely accepted and his presence was enjoyed within its halls. It was nothing like Hammerfell, but he enjoyed that - the fact that he was not expected to fight and instead expected to be himself verbally was exactly what he had been looking for all his life. He still retained the abilities to hunt and go into battle with a sword if needed, but growing into a man in the presence of bards changed him and his outlook on life. He kept these skills to protect in dire emergencies when his words could be no help. Farthlion was the peaceful Redguard, a common face in Solitude, and a friend to all.

Name: Freyr Volrund (The Ranger of The south)
    Race:Nord
    Gender: male
    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Appearance: Freyr Is 5' 10 and 160 pounds. he has dark hair which is uncommon for a nord. His dark hair hangs long and almost touches his shoulders. Underneath his dark unkempt mane forest green eyes peak out, piercing whatever his gaze falls upon. Freyr easily slips into a crows and can avoid being seen because of his athletic slender build.

    Freyr Volrund

History: Every since he was 9 years old Freyr has lived on his owns in the woods. Born in the city of Flareath he has been around the wilderness his entire life. When Freyr's father, a hunter, never returned from one of his hunting trips. Freyr was left on his own and had to learn to fend for himself. He eventually turned to crime out of hunger and the need to eat. Even in the peaceful village of Falkreath thievery is not looked kindly upon. Young Freyr was cast out of the city and left totally on his own. He had only his father's bow and his old leather hunting jacket. With these Freyr entered the woods of Falkreath and made a life for himself.

He is called the ranger of the South because he roams the southern wilderness, appearing here and there. He is at peace with the woods now and lives and easy life, he spends his days hunting and fishing and taking in the landscape of skyrim. In his heart is an adventurous spirit which is why he has decided to take a great journey. together with the company of heroes Freyr will put his suvival skills to the test and cross Skyrim's vast landscape.

Personality: freyr is a quite man who likes to keep to himself. he enjoys being in the company of others even if he does not interact with them that much. he would prefer to observe and listen and choose his words carefully. freyr is an excellent tree climber and often feel more at home in the tall oaks. Whenever he has a moment of free time we will quickly scale the nearest brand and pull his pipe from his pouch and take a moment to reflect on life. he does not mind growing seperated from the group by a large distance because Freyr is a superior woodsman. He will often find himself miles behind the caravan simply because he was taking a drag on his pipe. He has no trouble gaining ground however and will always ensure to catch up to the caravan. His most important need however has always been survival. he will do whatever it takes and whatever is necessary to survive.

interesting notes: Freyr often smokes on his hand carved pipe and will chew on local grasses and wildlife that he finds. he also has with him a hand carved flute that he will play a merry tune on in times of boredom

    MASTER
» Illusion- Sorex spent many years of his life in the pursuit of this school in the city of Cheydinhall. His teacher taught him all he knew and now Sorex practices Illusions everyday. He can pull off invisibility with a small struggle for a few minutes. Even though he studied this school for many years, he never did have much magicka.

» Sneak- He still remembers much of his childhood days of sneaking about the city of Anvil picking locks and pockets. He still remembers much of his childhood life and still uses these skills as a thief in Skyrim. While he can pull a key out of someone’s pocket, he isn’t a master of pickpocketing. He is rather proficient with lockpicks. He can get a with a strong lock open in a minute.
» One-Handed- Spent time in Morrowind training this while adventuring around. He knows how to swing a sword well.
    ADEPT
    » Lockpicking- *Refer to Sneak*
» Light Armor- Light Armor is just the right weight and flexibility for Sorex. He has spent most of his life in this, but he still doesn’t have a easy time wearing it. He prefers casual clothes when thieving in low-danger situations.

    » Enchanting- No experience
» Block- Of no use to Sorex
» Heavy Armor- Far too heavy
    » Two-Handed- Far too heavy
    » Smithing- No experience
    » Alchemy- No experience

    GEAR
» Thieves’Guild Armor (Morrowind): This special variant of Thieves Guild armor was sent to Sorex because of his actions to help the Morrowind Thieves Guild. Even though he is not and was not a member of the Thieves Guild, this was an honorary gift.
    2049-1-1322603360.jpg

» Orcish Bow: Sorex prefers the Orcish bow due to its light weight, yet good power.
» Steel Sword: Sorex enjoys the lightness of this sword as it makes up for his lean body.

    HISTORY
» CHILDHOOD: Sorex was born in Anvil, Cryodiil to parents who were guards. They spent most of their time away from taking care of crimes. Sorex came to resent them because they were never home, and decided to rebel against them. He would steal things and cause mayhem in the city. He would pick locks to break into stores and then throw the items he still into the bay of Anvil. He was progressively getting better at being a thief. He caused his parents so much grief that they were forced to quit the watch because crimes were mysteriously accredited to them. As he grew older he realized that he wanted to travel, to see the world. And he knew that living his whole life in a city with his hated parents was not what he wanted.

» TEENAGE YEARS: So he ran away at 14 to travel Tamriel and learn as much as he could. Sorex traveled east through Cyrodiil going through the Imperial City. He stole items in the city and traded them to the Thieves Guild there. He soon after left the city after acquiring some gold. He ended up in Cheydinhall and was caught thieving by a rather old Illusion mage when he was 16. The item that Sorex was in the process of lifting was a very valuable statue that he could be killed for attempting to steal. The old mage told Sorex that he would not rat him out if he studied under him and learned Illusion magic. Sorex decided that this was for the best and said yes to the old man. He wanted to keep moving, but he knew that knowing some magic would help him. For years Sorex studied learning Illusion magics as well as more general education like history and government. He old mage did not believe in the gods and, neither did Sorex in time. During his free time he practiced archery outside the mages house. He would talk to people in the tavern and learn the ways of speech from a few drunks there. From this, came Sorex’s love for taverns and mead. The old mage taught him how to calm an enemy and induce fear in him. How to force an enemy to flee as well as other things. Each year that Sorex grew stronger and smarter, the mage grew older and weaker. After it seemed that the old mage had taught Sorex everything he could, he revealed to Sorex one last spell. The old mage had told himself not to teach this spell to Sorex because it would aid him in his old thieving ways. But the old mage knew there was nothing he could do to pull away Sorex from the path he tread on. The very least he could he could do for the boy he had come to love as a son was teach him one last spell. Invisibilty. Sorex was amazed and spent weeks after weeks training this spell. Soon after, it was evident to both the mage and Sorex that the old man was dying. Late one evening, the old mage passed away in his favorite chair. After a small funeral attended by one boy and no gods, Sorex buried the old mage in the backyard of the house.

» ADULTHOOD: Sorex was now 20 and he decided to move along. He did not want to be held down in one place for too long. So he continued east into Morrowind. The odd culture there amazed him. He was taken aback at the Dark Elves’ racism even though they were not in a position of power. From this came his hate of Mer. He adventured around Morrowind thieving and building his fortune. He trained with swords and light armor during this time. He robbed many homes and traded with fences in the Thieves Guild there. They offered to recruit him, but he refused. He told them that he was not ready to settle down. By the the time he left Morrowind for Skyrim, he had amassed a small fortune. When he arrived in Skyrim he was 24. He knew he was getting older so he purchased a small home in the Rift, outside of Riften. He stored all the mementos of his life in that small home. He still hadn't had enough adventure though, so he kept adventuring in Skyrim.
