Staff Weapon Question

Is it possible to improve a staff? I.e., a destruction staff or whatever, with the Arcane Enchanter perk?

If so, what does improving it do exactly?

If not...seems like a missing opportunity =/.

It's not possible improving staves since the improve system at the grindstones are for physical damage.

The arcane enchanter table and the enchant perks are for weapons and armor that are not enchanted, so you cant enchant staves, they are alerady enchanted.
